Patrick's legal background and practical experience in the financial and policy fields ideally situate him to be an asset to the VoCare team. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, BA in History and Public Policy. Patrick was awarded the Lyman Fellowship Grant through the Hesburgh Program and was active in entrepreneurship programs in the Gigot Center at the Mendoza College of Business. Additionally, he also worked for three years in the Notre Dame Investment Office. He also earned a JD from the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis.

Upon completion of his undergraduate work, Patrick was accepted into a pre-law school program at the Wall St. law firm of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. At Cadwalader, Patrick was staffed in the Global Finance group, where he worked on distressed debt trading and syndicated lending deals. It was a busy desk, with his group managing 80-100 trades at any given time, which consisted of communicating with clients, institutional investors and administrative agents regarding closing mechanics, and with opposing counsel regarding draft and upstream documentation.

While in law school, Patrick served as legal intern for both Dant Advocacy and the Indiana Bankers Association. At Dant Advocacy, Patrick worked on regulatory and compliance issues, including extensive work with Utility legislation. With the IBA, Patrick was instrumental in the launching of the IBA's Political Action Committee, and also authored study reports on issues affecting Indiana's financial industries, including mortgage broker restrictions and industrial loan companies.

Following law school, Patrick worked with a few Indianapolis based start-ups, primarily managing capital procurement initiatives. In this capacity, he: authored business plans, executive summaries and investor presentations; created financial models and projections, along with detailed cost structures for new ventures; and served as liaison between the companies and investment groups. He also contributed to many different strategic growth initiatives at these companies, including: initiating in/out licensing opportunities for pharmaceutical products in international markets; initiating MBE certification in pursuit of government/corporate contracts; conducting full internal audits of business and operational practices, complete with recommendations to improve efficiency and productivity; working to identify relevant policy and regulatory issues that affected the companies; and engaging strategic partners to further company’s interests and objectives.

In his current role as VP Fund Mgt at AGS Capital, Patrick's primary responsibilities are to manage portfolio investments and seek out new venture/private equity investment opportunities. AGS specializes in buyout opportunities below the middle market, and also makes strategic, early stage investments.
